Job Duties
- Overseeing day-to-day operations of department and personnel
- Directing service calls, repairs, alter and install work according to developed or pre-set guidelines
- Troubleshooting malfunctions, and responding to service calls
- Hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, coaching, and motivating employees
- Planning, implementing and administering preventative maintenance programs
- Ensuring facility and employee compliance with OSHA, and in charge of safety programs and training
- Administering and directing all major and minor repairs and improvements
- Procuring bids and contracts required for all improvements
- Maintaining and monitoring fire and alarm systems at multiple properties
- Conducting specific site inspections on an as-needed basis
- Compliance with city inspections
- Maintaining the daily work order database, including personally handling the work order, and/or delegating tasks to staff as needed
- Completing all other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years experience in facility maintenance
- Minimum 2 years experience in a supervisory role
- Mechanically inclined with all-around knowledge of mechanical systems, plumbing, electrical and HVAC
- Demonstrated ability to manage multi-discipline projects and coordinate a team’s corresponding efforts
- Hands-on capabilities required for repairs, combined with the leadership and organizational skills needed to coordinate projects and renovations and utilize staff efficiently
- Administrative skills, including experience with budgeting, spreadsheets, and payroll
