Smartland, a Cleveland-based operator of apartment communities and single-family rentals, is hiring a Grounds Crew Member to help keep our properties clean, safe, and welcoming for residents. This is a great role for someone who enjoys hands-on work, being outdoors, and making a visible impact every day.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, full-time
Occasional weekends or early mornings during snow season
Travel between properties as needed (within the Cleveland area)

What You’ll Do

Maintain clean and safe property grounds by removing trash, debris, and clutter
Keep common areas, walkways, parking lots, and outdoor spaces neat and presentable
Assist with moving appliances, furniture, and materials between units and sites
Perform seasonal tasks including snow removal, ice management, and salting
Report safety hazards, maintenance concerns, or property damage promptly
Operate and maintain basic groundskeeping tools and equipment (mowers, blowers, shovels, etc.)
Support the maintenance team with general labor tasks as needed

What You Bring

Dependable, punctual, and ready to work every day
Strong work ethic and ability to work independently without constant supervision
Honest, professional, and respectful with staff and residents
Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and perform physical labor outdoors in all weather conditions
Valid Ohio driver’s license and a clean driving record
Reliable transportation to travel between properties
