Smartland, a fast-growing Private Equity Real Estate firm managing over 1,300+ residential units, is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator to join our team.
This role is perfect for a hands-on maintenance professional ready to take the next step by moving from the field into an office-based, coordination-focused position where your organization and communication skills shine. You’ll be the heartbeat of our maintenance operations, connecting residents, technicians, and management to ensure every repair is handled with efficiency and care.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the first point of contact for all incoming maintenance calls and service requests.
- Troubleshoot maintenance issues and prioritize work orders efficiently.
- Coordinate, dispatch, and schedule maintenance technicians.
- Communicate regularly with residents to provide updates and ensure satisfaction.
- Track progress, follow up on open work orders, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with property management to optimize maintenance processes and response times.
Must-Haves
- Maintenance or property management experience with a solid understanding of building systems, repairs, and service coordination.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with scheduling tools, work order systems, or CRMs.
- A positive, adaptable, and team-oriented attitude in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have
- Prior office or administrative experience in real estate, construction, or property management.
- Familiarity with Yardi, AppFolio, or similar property management software.
- Experience leading or dispatching field teams.
- Basic knowledge of vendor management or cost tracking.
